The lagoons of the national biosphere reserve Sian Ka'an is connected to the ocean at the Boca Paila bridge. Here: the ocean outlet seen from the bridge.
The water is too deep and the bottom too soft for wading, at least just by the bridge. Reports claim fishing is very good here, particulary when the tide runs.
